Department Email is a public email account that is only authorized for department members. If you need to access your department email account, please apply to IT Office for authorization. Please refer to the below guidelines for using it.
Option 1：Access Department Email via Outlook
1. Once authorized, your department email account will automatically appear in the account list on your Outlook interface without using any passwords.
Note: For the new version of Outlook, the department email account appears under the folder of Shared with me:
2. Now you can use your department email account as a sender to send emails. After creating a new email, click Option->From->input your department email account, then the email sender will switch to your department email account.
Note: For new version of Outlook, after creating a new email, you can navigate to Option->check Show From->choose different Senders.
Option 2: Access Department Email via Webmail
1. Access Webmail-
https://outlook.office.com/cityu-dg.edu.cn and click the Profile on the upper right corner of the page. Click “Open Another Mailbox”.
2. Fill in your department email account, then you can go ahead to open your department account without a password.
Option 3: Access Department Email via Mobile App
To access a shared mailbox on a mobile device, use the following steps.
Sign in to your CityU(DG) account in Outlook for iOS or Android.
Tap the Add Account button in the left navigation pane, then tap Add a Shared Mailbox.
If you have multiple accounts in Outlook Mobile, select the account that has permissions (username@cityu-dg.edu.cn) to access the shared mailbox.
After the account setup process completes, the shared mailbox will display in your account list in Outlook for iOS or Outlook for Android.
To remove a shared mailbox, go to Settings > Accounts. Then tap on the shared mailbox and select Delete Account.
